Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception
Monday, September 4th

The Opening Ceremony will be the kick-off event for the 33rd IFSCC Congress. An international congress that will bring together the main players in cosmetic research worldwide, with the aim of getting to know about, and presenting, the current and most relevant work in the field of cosmetic science over three days.
The ceremony will take place in the CCIB Auditorium. The CCIB is a modern, 100,000 m2 seafront venue, equipped with the latest technology, offering an impressive range of high-quality services, all in one of Barcelona’s most privileged locations.
Its innovative features, unmistakable architecture, cutting-edge technology and sustainable event management, together with its excellent location facing the Mediterranean sea, make the CCIB an exceptional venue.
The Opening Ceremony will feature two very special guests who will teach us the importance of the «Rethinking» concept through gastronomy and cosmetic science.
The Opening Ceremony will be followed by a Welcome Reception with food and drink featuring the best of the Mediterranean cuisine. Dress code: business.


Social Night Dinner – Tibidabo
Tuesday, September 5th

With more than 120 years of history as part of the leisure and culture of the city of Barcelona, the Tibidabo Amusement Park is a unique place that offers a magical experience with emblematic and modern attractions in the natural surroundings of the Serra de Collserola with the best views of the city.
Join us for a wonderful evening in Barcelona’s amusement park where the attractions will be open exclusively for us; a beautiful evening of mingling and fun with industry colleagues and academics from around the world.
A unique dinner that combines beauty, art, culture and flavour. We are committed to an event that is sustainable, elegant and of the highest level, with an exquisite staging inspired by the Boqueria market. There will be different market stalls using km 0 (slow food) and seasonal products served in reusable, recyclable and non-polluting materials, thus, achieving a delicious, healthy and Mediterranean dinner.
Transport to Tibidabo will be arranged from the hotels near the CCIB.

Gala Dinner – MNAC (National Art Museum of Catalonia)
Thursday, September 7th

One of the most elegant and beautiful spaces in Barcelona will welcome us to celebrate the closure of the 33rd IFSCC Congress.
The Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya is located in the Palau Nacional of Montjuïc, which is one of the most emblematic spaces of Barcelona. Since its inauguration in 1929, on the occasion of the International Exposition and its subsequent transformation into a museum, the building has been the setting for numerous events that have marked the social life of Barcelona.
The gala dinner will take place in the Sala Oval, a spectacular and unique space with a large capacity; it is one of the biggest halls for social events in Europe. Worth highlighting is the immense dome, which allows the entrance of natural light, and the organ, 34 metres long and 11 metres high, that overlooks the hall from the balcony.
The perfect venue for the closing of the congress and the IFSCC Awards ceremony.
Transport by will be arranged from the hotels near the CCIB to MNAC.
